Spending on year in a totally different enviroment, to work together with people from all around the world, to live for ten month in the smallest metropolis of the world: All this offers a internship with the Lutheran World Federation.
For 2009, we are offering two internship positions. One is working with the Desk for Women in Church and Society in the preparation for a major conference. The other supports the Office for Communication Services in journalistic tasks – mainly in French. More information and the application form can be found here. All internships require a church endorsement.
While I obviously encourage you to apply with the Lutheran World Federation, some of our partner organizations offer also internships for the next year. Ecumenical learning and accompaniment will be organized in close collaboration with them. The World Council of Churches has already announced its interships.

The idea of talking to God can be intimidating.But it does not have to be .in fact ; prayer can be wonderfull experience if we know how to do it Gods way .Fortunately; we have Gods words to teach us how to pray .The Bible instructs us to pray at all times ; in any pasture ; in any place. for any reason In addition ; it does not matter ; where ever you pray .God only desires that you pray from a pure heart and sincere heart.
The disiciples observed the profound effect prayer had in Jesus life and ministry .The witnessed how Jesus would often go off by himself to spend time in prayer with his heavenly Father. They saw the power; peace ; and transquillity that emanated from his life ; giving him the ability to stay calm in troubled circumstances .Jesus prayer life so impressed these men that they asked him to teach them to pray ( see Luke 11;1-13 ) certainly if the perfect Son of God often took time to pray during his life here on earth; how much more do we ; mere men and women ; need to pray ?
Because prayer is an essential ingredient to walking with Jesus Christ ; we need to examine its elements found in Gods Word .
(1).prayer was modeled for us by christ. Jesus took the time to show his followers how to pray
( see Matthew 6; 5-15. )
(2).prayer is not a solitary experience. God has given us his holly spirit to aid us in prayer ; even when we do not know what to pray ( see Romans 8;26-27 )
(3).prayer allows us to voice our requests to God .prayer is Gods appointed way for us to relate our conerns and present our needs to him ( see James 4; 2-3 )
(4).prayer enables us to seek forgiveness.When we pray sincerely for forgiveness.God will hear our prayers and restored us ( see James 5;15-16 )
(5).prayer helps us overcome worry . in the midist of troubles ; we can obtain Gods gifts peace through prayer ( see Philippians 4;6-7 )
(6).prayer increases our spiritual knowledge and Maturity; God will give us greater spiritual understanding through prayer (see Colossians 1;9 )

I am Mrs mary mark from Kuwait. I am married to Mr. Jerry Mark who worked with Kuwait embassy in Ivory Coast for nine years before he died in the year 2002.We were married for eleven years without a child. He died after a brief illness that lasted for only four days.Before his death we were both born again Christian.
Since his death I decided not to remarry or get a child outside my matrimonial home which the Bible is against. When my late husband was alive hedeposited the sum of US$4.5million dollars in a Bank here in Abidjan Cote d’Ivoire.Presently, this money is still in bank.
Recently, my Doctor told me that I would not last for the next Eight months due to cancer problem. The one that disturbs me most is my stroke sickness. Having known my condition I decided to donate this fund to a church that will utilize this money the way I am going to instruct herein. I want a church that will use this fund for orphanages,widows, propagating
the word of God and to endeavorthat the house of God is maintained.
The Bible made usto understand that “Blessed is the hand that giveth”.I took this decision because I don’t have any child that will inherit this money and my husband relatives are not Christians and I don’t want my husband’s efforts to be used by unbelievers. I don’t want a situation where this money will be used in an ungodly way. This is why I am taking this
decision. I am not afraid of death hence
I know where I am going. I know that I am going to be in the bosom of the Lord. Exodus 14 VS 14 says that “the lord will fight my case and I shall hold my peace”. I don’t need any telephone communication in this regard because of my health hence the presence of my husband’s relatives around me always. I don’t want them to know about this development.With God all things are possible.

I will also issue you an authority letter that will prove you the present beneficiary of this fund. I want you and the church to always pray for me because the lord is my shephard. My name is Mrs. Esther.B. a nationality of Kuwait. I am married to late Mr. JAMES BARABA who worked with Kuwait embassy in Ivory Coast for nine years before he died in the year Octorber 2003. We were married for twenty years with a child. He died after an illness that lasted for four days. The Bible made us to understand that blessed is the hand that giveth. I took this decision because I have a child that will inherit this money but my son can not carry out this work only because i and my late husband decide to use some of the money to work for God and live some for our son to have a better live.our son is just 17year old now and been grow up in africa, he have low manterity and my husband’s relatives are not Christians and I don’t want my family hard earned money to be misused by unbelievers,I don’t want a situation where this money will be used in an ungodly manner.Hence the reason for taking this bold decision. I am not afraid of death hence I know that I am going to be in the bosom of the Lord. Exodus 14 VS 14 says that the lord will fight my case and I shall hold my peace.
I will like you to understand that my contact to you is a divine direction from God , I don’t want any of my husband family relatives to recieve this money but I know that With God all things are possible. As soon as I receive your reply I shall give you the contact of the Finance/bank. I will also issue you a letter of authority that will empower you as the new beneficiary of this fund. I want you and the church to always pray for me because the lord is my shepherd. Home Of Refuge Orphanage is a faith based non-profit organization dedicated to restoring the joy in the lives of children and families. Established in 1999 by Mrs Adeoye Eze, the agency provides residential care for abused, neglected and drug exposed children in a campus home-like setting. Our goal is to restore the emotional and physical well being of children through an array of services in a loving and nurturing environment.
The agency is licensed and registered by the Federal Department of Children and Families.Registration: 936/94 under societies act. As a shelter and child-placing agency. As such, the agency is a front-line provider of residential services when an abused child first comes into care. Its services as a child-placing agency allows for a continuum of care as Home Of Refuge Orphanage recruits and trains foster and adoptive families to place children in homes. Home Of Refuge Orphanage accepts children placed by the State and also from parents in crisis who voluntarily place their children.
Its model is unlike your typical residential program. The home is staffed with house parents and supporting caregivers. Each house provides a home for ten to twelve children. It is the goal of His House to give each cottage a family-feel and make the home as cozy and home-like, as possible.
Abused children need a place to call home during this turbulent time in their lives. Home Of Refuge Orphanage is a healing place giving wounded children a warm, loving home and renewed hope for a brighter future. We are coloring away the darkness in little hearts all over Nigeria west Africa.
For the last 8 yrs the orphanage grown up from 42 to 185 children, we have our own school, there are 126 children attending our school 59 stays in the orphanage and the 35 children are under day care from the village, The children eat 3 meals Daily, gets soaps a week and oil for hair,and new and used clothing twice a month.
We take care of them with our heart and soul and put our whole effort and energy for them. we do not have any permanent support and run this project by the free will gifts of individuals and trusted on God for every basic need for them.Presently the children lives in a rented houses which is too congested for all the children
