Summer intern in Wittenberg
March 24, 2010 in Church, Europe, Faith, Youth, Youth participation
Wittenberg is a small city in Germany with a grand history. From here, Luther’s reformation originated and transformed the understanding of faith around the world. The LWF Wittenberg center offers this summer the unique opportunity to dive into the significance of the Lutheran reformation. In a three month summer internship, a “intercultural intern” helps welcoming guests from around the world. She or he will generate ideas of how to better connect the sites in Wittenberg like the castle church, the city church and its outstanding works of art with the faith experiences of people from Africa, Asia or America. There will also be much contact with the Luther garden project.
If you are interested in being the “intercultural intern” in Wittenberg, please to refer to more information in the announcement, either in English (pdf) or German (pdf). The application deadline is 1 May 2010.

Thanks for sharing. When would be the best season to visit Wittenberg?
Really, every time is nice. But probably the European spring, summer and early fall is best because that walking around in the city more convenient. And it is only one hour to Berlin, another great German city.
