LWF Youth Participation at AIDS 2008 in Mexico
March 4, 2008 in Church, Ecumenism, HIV/Aids, LWF, Youth participation
It is the most commented post on our blog: Emily wrote a few months ago about ways how to participate in the International Aids Conference in Mexico City. Many people were very interested in that.
The Lutheran World Federation is most probably able to secure some funds in order to send a small youth delegation to Mexico City.
The program consists of three major parts:
- Participation at the Ecumenical Pre-Conference
- Participation at the Main Conference
- Work on a project idea of the participant
We are looking for a specific kind of participants:
Young people (younger than 30 and preferably younger than 25) who have already experience in the HIV and Aids work of their churches and are strongly supported by their churches. The need to be in the implementation of a church related HIV and Aids project or must have at least a realistic idea.
More information and the application form are here. Deadline for the application is 15 April 2008.
