Mark 4:30-31 – Bible Study Tuesday Morning (PAYC 2010)

The Parable of the Mustard Seed, Mark 4. 30-32
30Again he said, “What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it? 31It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest seed you plant in the ground. 32Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds of the air can perch in its shade.”

Proposal for discussion:
Before reading the Passage

What are the seeds that are most cultivated in your country?

After reading the passage:
1. Do you know what is special about the mustard seed?
2. Are there aspects of the mustard seed that you can recognize in your life, in your church?

3. What is the relationship between our request for daily bread and the story of the mustard seed? What relationship may they have?
